Grampus Heritage and Training are offering a number of practical placements throughout 2002/2003 which aim to provide training and experience in a variety of European traditional skills. These placements are funded through the Training Of People in Heritage And Traditional Skills (TOPHATS) Leonardo project.
To fill these placements we are looking for highly motivated individuals who are keen to gain experience of the traditional skills and techniques on offer. These are practical placements and rarely involve classroom learning. Participants will usually have weekends and evenings free to go on cultural visits or to relax, although a flexible attitude to working hours is essential.
Previous experience is not essential but applicants must be able to demonstrate that the experience will be of value to them in the future.
The Leonardo da Vinci TOPHATS programme will cover the following costs for the successful applicants:
Travel - Return travel from the UK (departure point
designated by Grampus) to destination country.
Food - Each participant will be provided with food (3 meals per day)
or a sufficient self-catering allowance.
Accommodation - This will be basic accommodation and will be chosen
by host partners. Accommodation will be as close as possible to the work
site.
